TORONTO – Golden State star Kevin Durant is expected to practice and do an extra workout with younger players on Sunday with the hope that he can play in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

“We’ll gauge it from there,” Kerr said.

Durant is listed as questionable on the NBA’s official injury report at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Durant hasn’t played in the playoffs since sustaining a strained calf in Game 5 against Houston in the Western Conference semifinals on May 8. But Kerr is hopeful for a return because “what he’s going to do today he hasn’t done. He’s doing more today and then we’ll know more after that,” Kerr said.
