Toronto police searching for ‘person of interest’ in Raptors parade shooting

Four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of a shooting near the end of the Toronto Raptors parade route Monday.

Videos shared on social media show thousands of people running in panic after two people were shot at the Toronto Raptors’ championship parade.

Toronto police chief Mark Saunders said investigators are looking for “a person of interest” seen fleeing the scene of a shooting during the Raptors’ NBA championship parade that sent thousands fleeing and left four people injured Monday. 

Three people were charged with firearms offenses, but the two guns recovered didn’t use the same ammunition as the casings found at the site of the shooting near Nathan Phillips Square, Saunders told reporters Tuesday.
