Tennis players Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Benoit Paire spontaneously started playing soccer during their ATP match at the Halle Open.

An ATP tennis match devolved into a friendly — and comical — game of impromptu soccer on Tuesday.

Benoit Paire accidentally let his racket slip out of his hand after serving to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga early in the second set of their second-round match at the Halle Open. But rather than simply give up on the point, Paire decided to keep the rally going with his feet, kicking the ball over net. And rather than laugh at the gesture, Tsonga responded in kind, controlling the ball with his chest before kicking it back over the net to Paire.

The two traded a few more kicked shots before Paire attempted what appeared to be a bicycle kick and fell to the turf, to raucous applause.
