Rory McIlroy is ready to go for this week’s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

That much was clear as he sent a message all weekend en route to a seven-shot victory in his RBC Canadian Open debut.

McIlroy closed with a lights out 9-under 61 to boat race the field and close in style at 22-under 258 for the week. It’s the lowest score in tournament history and came just one week after McIlroy missed the cut at the Memorial tournament.

Following a 6-under 64 Saturday to grab a share of the 54-hole lead, McIlroy said the missed cut gave him an opportunity to work on his driving and wedge play.
