NFL suspends Oakland Raiders guard Richie Incognito two games for personal conduct

Newly signed Oakland Raiders offensive guard Richie Incognito is going to miss the first two games with his new team.

The NFL is suspending Incognito two games for a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy, a person with knowledge of the suspension confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke under the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak publicly about the suspension.

Incognito will miss Oakland’s season-opening, Monday night game against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 9, as well as Week 2’s matchup (Sept. 15) against the Kansas City Chiefs – both of whom are AFC West opponents. Both games are also at home.

Incognito will be eligible to return for Week 3’s game on the road against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept 22.
