Colts reward Kenny Moore with contract extension

INDIANAPOLIS — No, he didn’t see this coming. “Shocked,” was the first word that came to mind.
A moment later, Kenny Moore corrects himself.
“Speechless,” he says.
Why? It’s not so much the what – a sparkling new contract extension for the Indianapolis Colts’ tough-as-nails cornerback – but the when. Now?
This wasn’t just early, this was way early.
Moore was set to enter the final year of his rookie deal in 2019, then become a restricted free agent next March. Little leverage that he had, he figured he’d fall into a waiting game. He’d bet on himself — all he’s ever done in this league — and let the rest play out. In a year’s time, he’d see who wanted him.
