Baker Mayfield is known for his brash, not-giving-any-hecks personality that he shows while competing on the football field and also when taking on critics through Twitter.
But the Cleveland Browns quarterback has a soft side, and he showed that this week on ESPN when he read a Mothers’ Day letter that he wrote. His mom, Gina, teared up while watching it.
ESPN is having several athletes write special letters this week, and at the end of each note, they surprise the athlete by revealing that his mom was watching in the room next door.
Mayfield talked about a trip he and his mom took to Norman, Oklahoma, in 2014, and he described how things went really wrong for them during the trip, but they got through it.
OPINION: Cool it, Browns….
